There is an end turn button on the primary screen. Imp2 is one of my all-time favorite games. It shows me how much food I need for my current labor pool, but I don’t see any indication of how much more will be needed if I hire more laborers…

Is there an easy way to see what countries have what, other than scanning over all the minor countries on the map? I noticed that if I put a request out for an item, I can see who is offering it and who gets dibs on it in the trade summary screen between turns, but it seems like there should be another way.Īlso, is there a way to establish a trade deal/further diplomacy with the native minor nations? They don’t seem to show up on my diplomacy map unless I actually invade them.Īnother thing I’m a bit confused about is buying additional laborers. I see other countries immediately establishing trade deals with other countries… but I don’t really know if it’s a good thing to spend money on at the beginning of the game. The interface definitely could use some help (no end turn key? really?), but the mechanics seem very solid.Īnyhow, what is the best starting strategy? I’m a bit overwhelmed… especially with the diplomacy. After the announcement of Colonization, I realized I had never actually played Imperialism 2 and picked it up cheap on Amazon.
